Monel K500 provides a much greater strength level than Monel 400 as it is precipitation hardened. Both the alloys have similar corrosion resistance.
Monel K500 is weldable by using proper welding methods and compatible filler materials.It depends on the nature of the application, post weld heat treatment might be necessary.
