What is Monel K500 Pipe ?
Monel K500 pipe is a strong, corrosion-resistant nickel-copper alloy with added aluminum and titanium. These elements enhance the alloy’s strength and hardness, contributing to its overall durability. Monel K500 pipe is known for excellent resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis. Monel K500 pipe is used in places where strength and corrosion resistance matter most. It handles saltwater, sour gas, and chemical flow with ease. Common uses include oil and gas equipment, pump shafts, heat exchangers, and marine parts. These pipes come in seamless, welded, ERW, CDW, and fabricated types. It is available in round, square, rectangular, and hydraulic shapes. It is also known as UNS N05500.
The size depends on the application from small to large diameters. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, the pipes adhere to international standards such as ASTM B165, ASTM B725 and ASTM B730. Wall thickness and length can be customized to fit project requirements. The pipes are constructed to meet international standards.
Monel K500 pipes undergo rigorous checks before delivery. Some of these tests are hardness, flattening test, flaring test, PMI testing, IGC testing, and hydrostatic testing. This is to ensure its consistent performance in pressure and corrosive conditions. We never compromise on quality.
