What is Titanium Grade 5 Pipe ?
Titanium Grade 5 pipe, also known as Ti6Al4V pipe, is a high-performance alloy composed of at least 90% titanium, 6% aluminium, and 4% vanadium. It offers a solid mix of strength, corrosion resistance and lightweight properties. Parag Metals supplies high-quality titanium grade 5 seamless and welded pipes for demanding uses. The pipe shows an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, resists corrosion in seawater and chemical environments, and holds up well under high temperatures. It has a density of 4.43 g/cm³, a melting point of 1632 °C, tensile strength of 950 MPa, and yield strength of 880 MPa.
Titanium Grade 5 pipe is highly durable and hence the best choice for harsh conditions. We provide it in the form of seamless and welded pipes, cut to the sizes needed. Pipes are provided in SCH 5 to SCH 160 schedules and up to a length of 6 meters. The sizes vary from 1/8″ NB to 12″ NB. These pipes have both cold drawn and hot finished options, conforming to specifications such as ASTM B337. Grade 5 has far greater strength compared to grade 2 titanium pipe and is therefore the first choice for heavy-duty usage.
